nickdlrc366: Jan 24. Today was a pretty normal day. Usual routine of dropping off the brothers and going to work and then going to class. But class itself today was pretty interesting. I had my Sociology of Sexuality class again, and I think today was the first time I’d ever.. publicly announce my sexuality, and possibly give an opinion about it. My professor asked the question, ” Are you born with your sexuality?” Mind you, not a lot of people answered, but I kind of hesitated when raising my hand. And then later during the end of class we had introductions. She said, if you wish to talk about your sexuality please go ahead and do so.. I was the only person in my class that said they’re gay. I don’t mean that as in there’s other people, but it was still pretty nerve wracking. It was a really strange position for me because right when it came out, I felt like the whole class paused and everyone kind of was just looking at me. I already know now that in that class there will be lots of debates regarding sexuality, if we’re born into it, etc etc. So I’m very nervous for these now that everyone know’s I’m gay.. But this is a class where I learn about sexuality. I’ve realized now that everyone knows my own, I have to defend it if it’s attacked. Interesting day.
